The Counting House
Open to bookings for 2026 & 2027, 'The Counting House' is our new sister business and holiday property on Alnwick's Narrowgate. This distinctive town house sleeps up to 4 people and is perfectly placed should you wish to visit Bowring Hepple Black and the North East's most magical market town.

Bearing an uncanny resemblance to the Wizarding Bank, Gringott's, 'The Counting House' was built in the mid-19th century and was home to a Savings Bank. The ornate carvings and distinctive architecture give our enchanting holiday let character like no other in Northumberland. ​

This spacious holiday house is set over 4 floors and has an enchanting 'snug' with unique views across the town centre. There are two bedrooms (one king & one twin), a family bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower room. There is also a separate kitchen. living room and boot room, allowing you to prepare for, and relax after, all of your adventures in Northumberland.

There are a number of independent cafes, restaurants and shops all within walking distance, and Alnwick Castle & Gardens are less than a 5-minute walk from the front door.
